Does it read all our messages?
We monitor your school emails (via Gmail integration) and can process forwarded WhatsApp messages you send us. We extract structured info (dates, payments, reminders); we don't store your chats. Your conversations stay private. Note: WhatsApp Business API cannot read group messages directly—summaries come from email integration and forwarded content.
How does Gmail integration work?
Gmail integration is optional. If you connect your Gmail account, we only read emails from school-specific domains you specify (e.g., @school.edu). We extract event dates, deadlines, and payment requests to create AI summaries. We store email metadata and summaries only—not full email content. You can disconnect anytime from your dashboard. All data is encrypted and GDPR-compliant.
Is my data secure and private?
Yes. We're GDPR-compliant and use enterprise-grade encryption. We only access school-related emails you specify, never personal emails. Email summaries auto-delete after 90 days. You can delete data anytime. We never sell your data or use it for advertising. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Does it notify the school office?

How much does it cost?
Individual plans are £3/month (or £30/year, save 20%). Family plans for two parents are £5/month (or £50/year). Schools can subscribe for £150/month or £1,500/year covering unlimited parents. Early adopter pricing is £2/month for life if you subscribe during beta. 60-day free trial, no credit card required.
Is this just after-school?
No—breakfast club, walking buses, morning drop-offs, ad-hoc cover, after-school, tutors & clubs. The whole school day.
What if I have multiple kids in different groups?
Perfect! You'll get one personal digest that covers all your groups. Your Individual or Family plan covers all the school WhatsApp groups you're part of, regardless of how many children you have or how many clubs they're in.
Can I customise my digests?
Yes! You can set digest frequency (daily, weekly, or off), choose delivery times, filter by category (homework, events, payments, etc.), set quiet hours, and filter by urgency. You can also save important messages, set reminders, and export events to your calendar.
What if WhatsApp is down?
You can always access your dashboard on the web app for full functionality. Email summaries and coordination features work independently of WhatsApp. We also send important notifications via email as backup.
How do I get started?
Message the Together School bot on WhatsApp to get your signup link. After signing up, you'll receive daily digests via DM and can coordinate with other parents privately. The bot works via direct messages—you can forward important school WhatsApp messages to it for summarisation.
Can I remove it anytime?
Yes, you're always in control. Remove the bot or cancel in two taps. Your data will be deleted according to our retention policy (summaries after 90 days, or immediately if you request deletion).
What countries is this available in?
Currently available in the UK. We're working on expanding to other countries. WhatsApp Business API availability varies by region—check with us if you're outside the UK.
Do I need to download an app?
No! Together School works entirely through WhatsApp and a web dashboard. No app download required. Parents use WhatsApp they already have, and can access the full dashboard via any web browser.
What if my school doesn't use WhatsApp?
Together School works with any school communication method. We monitor school emails (Gmail integration) and can process forwarded messages from any platform. The coordination features work for any parent group, whether they use WhatsApp, email, or other platforms.
